Passport & Application Photo MakerPassport & Application Photo Maker — Exact Size, Easy Framing

About Passport & Application Photo Maker

Prepare a clear photo or signature without guessing its size. Choose a generic preset or enter your exact requirements in pixels, millimetres or inches. Drag the preview to frame the photo, use its zoom and rotate buttons, then download. Precise print and file settings are available when you need them. You can also arrange multiple copies on an A4 or 4×6 inch print sheet. Your image is processed on your device.

Star keeps a shortcut to this tool in your browser. Share sends the tool link without your entered details or files. Use the tool’s own export controls for its finished output.

Quick guidance

Choose a supported file or paste a screenshot where offered. Check the preview and output requirements, then process the file. Review the downloaded result before sharing. Cancel stops an active job; supported batch tools retain completed results.

Save and editable backups are optional and remain private on this device. Keep a backup before clearing browser data.

One workspace for photos and signatures

Photo mode starts with a portrait frame and simple face-position guides. Signature mode starts with a wide frame that keeps your whole signature visible. Both modes let you crop, rotate, mirror, zoom and move the image directly in the preview.

The guides are visual references, not an automatic compliance check. A passport office, examination board or employer may require a specific expression, background, head size or recent photograph. Read the requirements for your own application before making the final image.

Exact dimensions, with a file size you can verify

Set dimensions in pixels for online uploads, or in millimetres or inches for printing. The tool shows the actual whole-pixel output dimensions and records your selected print resolution in the image’s DPI metadata. Physical sizes are rounded to the nearest pixel.

For JPEG, a maximum KB setting adjusts compression quality while preserving the dimensions you selected. PNG uses lossless compression and may need a larger size allowance. If the image cannot meet the maximum without changing dimensions, the tool explains the issue instead of silently shrinking it.

An optional minimum KB setting adds a harmless image comment when necessary. This does not create extra detail or improve quality. Use it only where your upload rules allow it. File-size controls use 1 KB = 1,024 bytes.

Printable copies and reusable sizes

Open Print sheet beside the preview, choose A4 or 4×6 inch paper and set the number of copies. Up to 100 copies can be arranged, subject to the available space. Optional layout settings let you change orientation, margins, gaps and cutting marks before downloading a PDF or 300 DPI JPG.

Print with Actual size or 100% selected. Fit to page, printer scaling and photo-lab settings can change the physical dimensions. The print sheet uses the photo’s chosen dimensions and DPI to calculate its physical size.

Choose a built-in size or enter custom dimensions, units and DPI. Your photo and settings remain available for this visit.

Frequently asked questions

›Will the photo automatically be accepted by my application?

No tool can guarantee acceptance. These presets are generic dimensions and do not represent official approval. Check the latest size, file-format, background and face-position requirements from the organisation receiving your image.

›Can I make a signature image as well?

Yes. Select Signature, choose a wide preset or enter custom dimensions, and upload a clear image of your signature. Keep whole image avoids cutting its edges; contrast and brightness can help improve a clear source.

›Does meeting the maximum KB change my chosen dimensions?

No. JPEG quality is adjusted instead. If the file cannot fit your limit at those exact dimensions, you are asked to increase the limit or choose smaller dimensions yourself. PNG may require a larger limit because it is lossless.

›What does DPI change?

DPI describes print density. With millimetres or inches, it determines the output pixel count. With pixel dimensions, it changes the image’s print-size metadata without changing those pixels. The tool supports 72–600 DPI.

›Can I change the photo’s existing background?

The frame colour fills empty or transparent areas. It does not remove or replace a background already in the photo. For an existing cutout, upload a transparent PNG and choose the frame colour here.

›Can I print several copies on one sheet?

Yes. Choose Print sheet beside the preview, select A4 or 4×6 inch paper and set Copies. Spacing, margins and orientation are in an optional panel. Download the PDF or JPG sheet. The preview shows how many fit. Print at Actual size or 100% to preserve the photo dimensions.

›Are my photos or signatures uploaded?

No. Image editing and downloads happen in your browser. Your original file is unchanged.
